I was saddened to read of the death of Don Herbert, TV's "Mr. Wizard." Back in the 50's watching his show was one of my favorite things. He was very talented at popularizing science for those of us were were kids at that time. I was surprised to read in this article that he was an Army Air Corps pilot during Warld War II.
